A small and friendly Primary school in the West London borough of Hillingdon close to West Drayton near Uxbridge are looking for an experienced practitioner or someone with transferable skills and experience, who is able to offer specialist one to one support for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) ensuring they are able to thrive in mainstream education.

You will be working one to one with a child in KS1 who has Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), a condition which is part of the autism spectrum, and is characterised by an overwhelming need to avoid or resist demands. We are looking for someone who has knowledge and ideally training of working with a child with PDA as this is a requirement of the EHCP.

We are looking for someone who have a real passion for working with children and who come equipped with strategies to positively manage challenging behaviour but who can also build the relationship with a child to make the lasting and profound differences that this can make in the long term.
