Job description
Protocol Education are working on behalf of a Secondary School for the position of a Payroll Administrator. The successful candidate will be a key part of the busy Bursary team, and reports directly to the Bursar. Working closely with the external payroll providers, the PayrollAdministrator is responsible for managing and operating the payroll system with the greatest level of accuracy and efficiency.

This is a role that details with confidential material on a daily basis and therefore, tact, diplomacy and absolute discretion are key requirements for this role.
The post holder will be numeracy literate. Outstanding communication skills and high level IT skills are a prerequisite, as well as being a self-starter. As we are a
school experience of teachers' pension scheme would be highly advantageous.

Main Duties:
• Working alongside the external payroll providers, to maintain and run the
payroll system for circa 110 per month.
• Input all payroll amendments, and keep detailed records.
• Administer all pension scheme.
• File all payroll related matters.
• Answer staff pay queries.
• Produce the Teachers' Pension Scheme annual returns.
• Archive all payroll files as appropriate.
• Complete earnings survey, provide data for School Census and other ad hoc
surveys as required.
• Provide statistical information as required for Governors meetings and other
ad hoc meetings.
• Write letters and memos to staff.
• Administer the child care vouchers and any other payroll deductions.
• Review absence reports.
• Maintain and be responsible for administering HR Online.
• To assist with the administration for new starters and leavers, preparation of
job descriptions, job adverts, contracts, induction and other related
paperwork and tasks.
• To assist and to be able to cover for other members of the bursary and
administration staff during times of absence.
• To assist with any other clerical duties as required.
