Protocol Education is currently looking for individuals to carry out pastoral duties working with young people suffering from social, emotional and mental health needs.

This role is supporting students in a mainstream school. The students may be dealing with difficult circumstances for many reasons. your role will be to support the students while possibly communicating with familes and covering adminstration duties. This role is crucial in providing pastoral support to young people.

We are looking for people who are capable of being compassionate and understanding of the issues these young people face whilst providing structured help to ensure they leave school with the qualifications and skills to be functional and helpful adults in today's society.

People with a background in pastoral support are particularly well suited to this role due to their experience supporting mental wellbeing through talking about issues that the young person may be going through. Allowing that young person to feel cared for and listened to is paramount to their continued educational development.

Candidate requirements

Empathetic and understanding
Previous pastoral experience working with students in a Secondary setting.
Sims experience (preferred but not essential)
You will need an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.
