Job description
Protocol Education are working on behalf of a lovely, supportive, mainstream primary school around the Ardwick area of Manchester who are looking for a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a boy in Reception with suspected Autism. This job is for an immediate start, part time and hours are 12pm - 3.30pm Monday - Friday. This role will be going on long term until potentially July 2019.

You will demonstrate a professional approach and be able to take the initiative and work effectively with permanent staff and have the aptitude to form good relationships and be able to communicate effectively with parents and other professionals. It is vital that you hold a valid, recognised qualification and/or have had at least 6 weeks recent experience of teaching or supporting pupils with SEN in the UK.

You must:
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Have professional experience working with SEND children in the UK in the last 3 years
• Have knowledge and experience in either Early Years or Key Stage 1
• Have up to date professional child care related references (covering the last 2 years)
• Have an enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service of be happy to apply for one
