A lovely independent Primary School in Brent is looking for a part-time Music teacher.
This is a part-time role (1 day a week) which starts in January 2019 and the successful applicant will be covering classes in EYFS, KS1 & KS2 on a long term contract for at least 2 terms.
This is a great opportunity to join a small but very supportive team at a school which encourages children to excell in various areas from their early stages. Our client is looking for a candidate who specialises in Music and has vast teaching experience in the Primary year groups. You will be an instrumentalist, ideally playing different instruments. Previous experience planning, preparing and assessing Music lessons within the British Primary Natonal Curriculum is an absolute must and the school is seeking for an individual who is able to take own initiative and work effectively with minimum supervision, and will bring an engaging and inspiring attitude to the classroom.
Essential skills and attributes:
- A Qualified Teacher Status (either a PGCE or Cert Ed.)
- Expertise in teaching Music at Primary level
- A minimum of 1 year UK teaching experience.
- Very good knowledge of the British National Curriculum and the ability to plan differentiated work.
- A valid DBS on the Update service or willing to undertake one.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Excellent teaching references
- Strong behaviour management skills.
Additionally, the candidates must be available for interviews immediately, as the school would like to appoint as soon as possible.
