Job description
We are looking for Teaching assistants (TA) for part time work in Croydon to work 2 hours per day (11.30-13.30)

As this opportunity is to work with pupils who have a variety of special educational needs, previous or existing experience working with SEN children is an advantage however the schools that we work with are open to considering LSA's with mainstream/ nursery experience.


Ideally, you will;

• Be available to start September 2017
• Able to work 4-5 days per week between the hours of 11:30 - 13:30
• Existing experience working with children with ASD
• Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus, classroom management and on-going 1:1 support where necessary
• Good interpersonal skills


Your responsibilities will include; Supervision of small groups or 1:1, assisting with behaviour management, ensuring the pupils are safe and observing their surroundings, playground duty, lunch supervision, assisting with care, observing progress/ issues that may occur.

The school is based close to Croydon will easy transport links via tram or bus. They are based within a lovely area with large grounds. They have lots of visuals and believe that developing independence.

Should you be successful, enjoy working there and get good feedback - There are a number of opportunities for more hours / full time roles to work on a 1:1 basis supporting SEND pupils within the school.
