Job description
A small and friendly Roman Catholic Primary school in the West London borough of Hillingdon is looking for a Part-time SEND teaching assistant to join their half day Nursery team ASAP, to work 1:1 with a child who has recently been diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

This position is for 17.5 hours a week working Monday-Friday from 8:30am-12:00 in the schools Nursery. This role would therefore be ideal for someone with a wealth of SEND experience looking to work mornings only.
You will need to have an excellent working knowledge of ASD and be experienced in using PECS, picture timetables and have a range of strategies to help support development in speech and language.
You would benefit from knowledge of the EYFS curriculum or experience of working in a nursery setting, however this is not essential. You will undertake observations and tracking in partnership with the nursery teacher and early year leader so will have a team to work and develop your skills in this area.

What is essential is the willingness to embrace the free flow environment, sensory and creative play, read many stories and undertake elements of personal care that come with the role.
