Job description
Protocol Education is currently looking for an inspiring and ambitious Teaching Assistant for one of our lovely independent schools in the London Borough of Brent.

This is a part-time long term position which starts in January 2019 and will continue for at least two terms. The school is looking to offer the suitable candidate a permanent role if everything goes well. The working hours are 8am-1.30pm.

Our client is ideally looking for a person who promotes safe, realxing and friendly atmosphere for children. You will be able to establish a good rapport with the children and fellow staff members, and you will regularly liaise with the class teacher, SENCO and parents to update them on the progress of the students. On top of this, you must have excellent time management and organization skills as you will be required to write reports and undertake other duties requested by the SLT. You should also be highly professional in every aspect, be self-motivated and able to work with the minimum of supervision.

Your role will include cover Morning care/medical care and playground supervision. You will also be asked to assist the class teacher with planning and preparing activites and will ensure children's safety and follow the safeguarding policies and procedurs.

Essential requirements:
- An undergraduate degree (at least 2:2)
- A minimum of 6 months in a classroom environment in the UK
- Very good knowledge of the EYFS British National Curriculym
- First Aid Certificate
- The ability to adapt and prepare resources to suit the needs of the children
- Strong behaviour management
- A UK DBS or willing to undertake one
- 2 excellent references

On top of that you must be available immediately as the school would like to recruit as soon as possible. A Teaching Assistant or EYFS qualification is not essential but will be an advantage.
