Job description
Part-time Behaviour Support Assistant, County Durham ASAP

Do you have experience of working with children with complex behavioural needs?

Are you looking for a part-time post?

Are you looking for a role which will offer you a new challenge every day?

We are currently recruiting for a part-time Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible to work with a named child.

We are looking for an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil who has complex behavioural needs. We are looking for someone who is resilient and patient and able to see beyond the behaviours of the child to enable them to work in a mainstream environment. Starting at five mornings a week to support the reintegration of the child, hours will increase as the child moves back into class.

Ideally you will be a Behaviour Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant who:

- Has a background of working with children and young people with behavioural needs and other SEN
- Is flexible and adaptable, coping well in the face of change
- Has a calm and patient manner with the ability to communicate well with others including Teachers, Parents and other outside agencies
- Is emotionally sensitive and resilient
- Is able to reflect of your own behaviour
