Job description
Outreach Teaching Opportunity in Sutton

I am currently working with a school based in the Sutton area who are looking for a teacher to start as soon as possible to work with students outside of their provision. The school are currently over capacity and are unable to support students on site, as a result the school have decided to set up an outreach program. This outreach program will require a teacher to provide home tutoring of core subjects at the student's home.

The school itself is regarded as a special needs school for secondary students with medical disabilities that prevent them from attending a mainstream school. Some of these disabilities include severe anxiety, social and emotional mental health and anorexia. These disabilities do not have any effect on the student's education as they are still required to follow the curriculum and are performing at a high level. Any teacher interested in this role does not need any specific training or experience, the school are looking for skilled mainstream teachers who are confident in covering core subjects either at KS2/KS3/KS4 level.

This is a rare opportunity to have a flexible non classroom based teaching role until the end of term. Lesson plans and marking will be required but as you will be working one to one with student this will be heavily reduced. The role would ideally require the teacher to have their own transport as you could be visiting different students in the area.

Main Duties:
• Covering core subjects KS2, KS3 and KS4
• Assessing pupil's levels and ability
• Differentiating work based on students' needs and abilities
• Preparing, planning and marking work
• Liaising with senior leadership team and parents in regard to student progression
• Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented

To apply for this role, you must have QTS.

Please note that you will not be considered for this position if you don't possess an enhanced DBS Disclosure, or if you are not eligible to work in the UK.

If you're looking for a deeply rewarding new challenge, please get in touch with me immediately! I look forward to hearing from you.

Here at Protocol Education, we strive to ensure that each and every candidate has an opportunity to find their ideal job. For a number of years, we are proud to have worked alongside fantastic institutions of learning (Primary, Secondary and SEND) to provide them with high quality teachers and support staff.
