Job description
I am currently recruiting for an Out-of-School Club manager to join a positive and effective childcare team in Cambridge. 3pm until 6pm, Monday until Friday.

You will be responsible for leading the team to deliver a high qualitiy, flexible childcare service that meets the needs of both the children and their families. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day organisation and operation of the club, providing a stimulating environment for the children, with creative and apprpriate play opportunities.

Main Duties will include;

. Working in partnership with the management committee and staff as part of a highly motivated and professional team.
. Administer the management of the club according to the decisions of the committee
. Provide a high quality, safe and caring environment for the children in attendance
. Leading and managing team staff, co-ordinating staffing arrangements and overseeing the recruitment process
. Promoting the club's equal opportunities and safeguarding policies

You will desirably hold;

. At least a level 3 qualification in playwork/childcare (or equivalent)
. Paediatric First Aid Certificate
. Designated Child Protection
. Food Hygiene Certificate
. Experience of working in a management setting
. An understanding of Playwork

It is essential that you;

. Have an awareness of and committed to updating CPD with regard to EYFS safeguarding and welfare requirements
. Proven experience of working with children and young people
. Working knowledge of the emotional, physical and educational development of children
. A sound understanding of the requirements of children with special needs in terms of their support, development and care planning
. Knowledge of legislation relating to childcare
. Experience of working with parents and carers from a range of cultural backgrounds

We provide our 4,000 clients with the full range of classroom based staff on both a temporary and permanent basis. Additionally, we provide teaching staff to international schools across the globe.

Each year over 11,000 teachers, teaching assistants, SEND specialists, early years, one-to-one tuition staff, and intervention specialists work through Protocol Education on either a full-time or part-time basis to help children meet their education goals. Each one is met face to face by one of our staff and checked to ensure that they meet the DfE safeguarding standards. Successful candidates will be subject to enhanced DBS and subscription to online update service.
