Job description
One to One Behaviour Support - Male Role Model

I am currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one to one basis with two pupils in the Harehills area. The school are looking for a candidate that can be a positive role model for the two boys in KS1 that you would be working with. The role would be supporting with challenging behaviour and acting as a mentor to the pupils.

Due to the nature of the two boys, the school are ideally looking for a male candidate as they have found previously this has seen the most progression for the children and has helped establish a strong relationship with both pupils.

We are looking for someone who can start immediately and be fully committed to the role. This person should have a good understanding of child development.
You will:
•Be a very patient person and have a good understanding of appropriate behaviour management strategies.
•Be highly motivated, have strong teamwork skills and a 'can do' approach to your work
•Be a strong communicator who is a nurturing, patient and positive individual and can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
•Have previous experience in a school setting or experience working with challenging behaviour
•Ideally have Team Teach Training or be willing to undertake training through Protocol Education.

If you are interested and have the skills and experience required please apply ASAP
