A friendly primary school in Ferryhill is looking for an Occupational Therapy graduate to join them as a SEND Learning Support Assistant.

You will work closely with young pupils, supporting their development and helping them overcome barriers that may affect their ability to access learning.

The School Needs Someone Who Can:

• Support pupils with additional needs throughout the school day.
• Assist with sensory and fine motor activities.
• Adapt activities to suit individual pupils.
• Encourage independence and participation.
• Support children's communication and engagement.
• Help pupils develop confidence in their abilities.
• Work alongside teachers and other professionals.
• Follow individual support strategies.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

• A qualified Occupational Therapy graduate.
• Passionate about working with children.
• Interested in SEND and inclusive education.
• Understanding of child development.
• Patient and compassionate.
• Adaptable and willing to learn.
• A confident communicator.

Previous experience working with children would be an advantage.
