The Role

As an Occupational Therapy Graduate, you will:

  • Support students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Work one-to-one and with small groups to help students access learning
  • Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, sensory processing differences, physical disabilities and additional learning needs
  • Help students develop independence, organisation, emotional regulation and life skills
  • Implement strategies recommended by Occupational Therapists and other external professionals
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SEND team and pastoral staff to remove barriers to learning
  • Encourage confidence, resilience and positive engagement throughout the school day

Previous experience working with children, young people or individuals with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
