Job description
I am pleased to be working with a number of nursery clients within the Cambridgeshire borough. Ideally applicants must have an NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare & Education or the equivalent, although they are open to looking at candidates who are not qualified and have a few years experience in an early years setting. In house training is sometimes available. The shifts vary from 8-5 and 9-6 on a daily basis. You will be taking care of, play with or teach children while they are at the Nursery in the day time. The ideal candidates should be highly trustworthy and attentive to children's needs. Talking to and interacting with the children, keeping a watchful eye on the children's behaviour, encouraging shy children to participate and maintaining discipline.

Candidates will need to:

- Be responsive and compliant with our registration and safguarding procedures, providing upto date photographic ID and right to work, relevant reference details and where applicable, a recent Overseas Police Check

- Be creative and flexible and provide high quality childcare.

- Work as an effective team member, delivering a flexible, and high quality of education and care to meet the needs of the children and their families.

- Be involved fully in all activities and experience and day to day routines.

- Hold the position of key person, and undertake observations, assessments and complete all record keeping as appropriate.

- To maintain health and safety standards through robust risk assessments and cleaning logs.
