Job description
Protocol Education are working with a small and friendly Independent Nursery School in Kensington & Chelsea who are looking to appoint an Early Years Specialist Teacher on a rolling yearly contract. They are seeking applicants who are hands on, confident in Early Years and know the profession well. You will be teaching a class of 20 2-3 year olds which will be divided into a morning and afternoon session between you and another experienced teacher. You will also be assisted by 2 nursery nurses. This nursery is easily accessible from Holland Park Tube Station and is in a fantastic part of Kensington & Chelsea.

This role has the potential to lead into a deputy head role so if you are looking to move into leadership this could be the ideal role for you. Ideally you will have a minimum of four years' of Early Years experience and have a good knowledge of teaching phonics and reading. You do not need to be a qualified teacher but you must have a minimum of a Level 4 in Early Years. It is a term time only position starting in September 2019 and the working hours are from 8.00am - 4.45pm.

Key Skills and Experience Needed:

- Level 4 in Early Years or above
- Relevant experience in a Nursery/Primary School
- Committed to the quality and safeguarding of the children
- Passionate about Early Years
- References and DBS

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
