Protocol Education are recruiting for a Nursery Practitioner on behalf of a successful day nursery.

About the role:
Our client has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and committed NVQ Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, trained in Early Years education to join their growing team. You should be an excellent team player and be able to follow instructions whilst also using your initiative.

You must be NVQ Level 3 qualified in Childcare; previous experience in a nursery setting is desirable. 

Duties Include:
  • The Nursery Practitioner will act as a key person
  • Assist at meal times and encourage good manners 
  • Monitor children's  progress as per Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Undertake relevant paperwork
  • Provide constructive feedback to parents about their child
  • Take part in 2 parent's evenings per year
  • Attend staff training days and out-of-hours staff meetings
  • Support the team with trips and excursions
  • Work with other Nursery Practitioners to ensure smooth running of the nursery at all times

  • The ideal Nursery Practitioner will have experience in:
  • Working with children in an Early Years Nursery
  • Dealing with Partnership with Parents
  • To have knowledge, be capable and have experience of implementing the EYFS
  • To have experience of carrying out observations, planning and providing next steps to enhance the children's development
  • To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all the children within your care
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High initiative and flexibility
  • Basic ICT skills
