Job description
Protocol Education are currently recruiting for Nursery Nurse NVQ 3 assistants to join a nursery in the Putney area
40 hours per week must be flexible to work variable shifts between 7.30am to 7pm

Job Summary

To create a safe, happy, positive, stimulating, learning environment in line with EYFS standards.

Main Duties

To learn and uphold the nurseries policies and procedures to safeguard, nurture develop and care for children in our care.

To comply and understand with the Welfare Requirements and practice guidance of the Early Years Foundation stage.

To be proactive in providing a learning, caring environment using resources, creativeness and initiative
and personal skills, reflecting your knowledge and qualification.

To undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications Essential

NVQ3 in childcare or early years education, NNEB, or diploma in play
nursery practice

Qualification in paediatric first aid Yes

Knowledge

Knowledge of the early year's foundation stage learning.

Experience

Experience of monitoring and recording children's progress

Experience of working in a diverse and inclusive environment

At least two years post qualification in childcare experience in a UK based nursery

Experience of acting as Key person to children

Skills

To be able to communicate clearly to the Nursery's clients on all matters relating to childcare

Ability to use own initiative

High standard of written English and oral communication and comprehension skills

Ability to organise and prioritise workload

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to lead junior staff in room when necessary, as part of Welfare standards

Willingness to take direction from line managers to provide the best possible nursery care practice
