Job description
This Outstanding Nursery in Wandsworth is seeking a full-time Early Years Practitioner for their small Nursery and Pre-school from June 2019. This is a great opportunity to work in a small, friendly, reputable childcare setting with high staff: child ratios.

You will be expected to have a solid knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and statutory requirements, have the ability to write observations, support the monitoring of children's progress and be involved in planning and evaluating. Experience of working with all ages across the Early Years would be an advantage.

We are looking for a creative, caring, enthusiastic and committed individual who genuinely loves to work with children to join their team.

To apply for this position you should:

  • Live within easy access to Wandsworth SW18 and hold a relevant Level 3 or above qualification.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK and have an excellent command of the English Language.
  • You should hold an up to date Paediatric First Aid Certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
  • You will be required to undertake a DBS check.


Hours are 7.45am to 6.00pm based on 4/5 day week (day off every other week). Salary negotiable dependent on experience. You will receive four weeks paid holiday per year in relation to your working week, plus bank holidays and the opportunity to receive a termly bonus. A basic lunch is provided.

This nursery is committed to creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for children in which to be cared and educated. They believe that it is always unacceptable for a child to experience abuse of any kind and they recognise their responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children, by a commitment to practice which protects them. Therefore all staff MUST adhere to all policies and procedures in regards to Safeguarding and Child protection.
