Job description

An exciting position has become available for an Early Childhood Educator to be part of the team at a Nursery in Epsom. As a qualified Early Childhood Educator you will have a key role in the delivery of high quality early learning experiences in a 0-5 setting. You will be committed to working in partnership with families, the wider community and have an active role in curriculum planning. You will be enthusiastic, flexible, motivated and dedicated to the delivery of a high quality service within a nurturing environment. You will be committed to your own personal and professional development.

Requirements:
NNEB, NVQ3 or BA in early childhood studies and at least three years of experience required.
Understanding of the development, learning and cultural needs of young children.
Knowledge and understanding of the early childhood curriculum.
Ability to plan, organise and resource a stimulating learning environment for children.
Ability to observe, assess and record young children's learning.
Knowledge of child protection procedures
Ability to work effectively in partnership with parents
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent
Experience: Childcare - 3 years (Preferred)

Person specification
Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Childcare but candidates with an Early Years Childhood Studies degree (with placements) would be especially welcome
Good GCSE results (Grades A-C in English and Maths preferred)
Great passion for child development and a good working knowledge of the EYFS (0-5 years)
Excellent communication skills and able to work effectively in a team

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
