Job description
A Primary School and Children Centre minutes from Angel or Old Street station is seeking a outgoing and flexible Early Years Professional to join their Early Years Provision team. The centre is a fantastic new building with large, bright, and airy rooms and an excellent outdoor learning and play area.

The Centre builds on children's natural curiosity which takes learning outside the classroom stretching far and wide from out door play and school journeys to central London which is on the schools doorstep. The school has great CPD opportunities to offer via external training and in-set days, they understand personal development is very important for both their staff and the education and development of the children.

The staff at the School and Centre are very sociable and between them organise a number of social events throughout the year. SLT have been praised in the 'Investors In People' report by the schools support staff, There is much more value and support for the TA and other support roles. I feel that we
are equally valued within the school"

The role is 5 days a week Monday to Friday and will be on a shift basis between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The centre caters for 0-4 years old and through out the week you may be required to work across all three of the rooms, however, the vacancy will primarily be in the Toddler room (2-3 year olds).

The ideal candidate requires;

•Level 3 or above childcare qualification or equivalent
•Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum
•Outgoing and hard-working
•Great team player and interpersonal skills
•Experience as Key Person, completing observations and writing reports
•Excellent communication skills
•Very organised

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
