Job description
I am looking for a part time Nursery Nurse to work in Harrow. The nursery is small and friendly and are looking for the right fit to be a part of the team.
They are looking for a Nursery Nurse, a day care nursery based in Harrow, just a short walk from North Harrow station and other transport links.

The main duties expected of a Nursery Nurse is to assist in the planning, organising and co-coordinating a programme of activities within the room, in accordance with the practice guidelines outlined by EYFS and ofsted.
Hours: Mon-Friday 10am-5pm

The Nursery is near transport links and is easy to get to.

It is perfect for someone training for their level 3 Nursery Nurse qualification and to gain experience.

The hours are flexible and the responsibilities include
>Feeding the children.
>Changing nappies or helping with potty/toilet training.
>Teaching general life skills, such as basic hygiene and manners.
>Working with any health and social care professionals, where necessary, and undertaking any relevant admin/paperwork.

The ideal Nursery Nurse will be expected:
  1. To lead by example, supporting and mentoring less experienced team members
  2. To provide high quality care and education for all children in the room
  3. To create outstanding planning, observations and activities for the children, implementing all areas of the EYFS
  4. To approve all children observations produced by the staff within the room and to liaise closely with parents and to update them daily on their child's progress
  5. To liaise closely with the management team in implementing all Nursery policies
  6. To maintain the register ensuring that all children are signed in and out of the room
  7. To ensure that all appropriate Health & Safety measures are in place before the room opens
  8. To ensure that ratios are adhered to at all times
  9. To ensure the room(s) are clean and tidy at all times

Qualifications and Skills

  3. To use your initiative
  4. To enjoy working to the highest of standard
  5. Candidates must be qualified NVQ level 2 or above.
  6. Successful applicants are required to provide a copy of their DBS.
  7. 1 year working in a nursery
