What You’ll Do:
β¨ Engage & Educate: Plan and deliver activities that cater to the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children.
β¨ Create a Safe Haven: Ensure a secure, nurturing environment where every child feels supported and valued.
β¨ Observe & Grow: Track, assess, and record each child’s progress, helping them reach important developmental milestones.
β¨ Communicate with Care: Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them updated on their child’s journey, and work collaboratively with your colleagues.
β¨ Keep it Clean & Stimulating: Maintain a safe, clean, and exciting learning environment where children can explore and learn with joy.
What You’ll Need:
Required Qualifications:
- Level 3 Early Years Qualification or equivalent
- DBS Check
Education:
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a childcare setting
- Solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong grasp of child development and knowledge of age-appropriate activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with children, parents, and your team
- Ability to work as part of a close-knit, supportive team
- Strong organisational skills to maintain an engaging learning environment
Preferred but Not Essential:
βοΈ First Aid Qualification
βοΈ Food Hygiene Certificate
Working Conditions:
- Primarily indoors in a childcare setting
- May involve standing for extended periods
- Full-time hours, including some weekends and evenings
