We are recruiting for a permanent nursery assistant to work in one of our fun and engaging Nurseries.

To be successful you will need to hold a level 3 in childcare. We want somebody who has a passion to work with young children and who stands out from the ordinary nursery assistant. The role & Nursery: banks of the River Thames, opposite Canary Wharf, in the midst of a rather beautiful nature reserve and in a jaw-droppingly beautiful building.... opening in April 2021. We are currently looking for Nursery Assistants who would like to start a career in childcare or who have already undertaken their level 2 training . The purpose of the role will be to provide support to the staff team in maintaining highest standard of care whilst delivery our bilingual model. Principle responsibilities include: Child Welfare & Safeguarding - ensuring all children are safe, cared for an all aspects of their needs met as per our safeguarding and health and safety policies. Early years education - We want people who are excited by education, passionate about children and can prove that their knowledge is more than just the 7 areas of learning. Training & CPD - we provide you with access to some of the best online EYFS CPD level 2 training programmes and are a certified training provider under NCFE-CACHE to train and accredit you. Team Attitude - this is a team role, working with colleagues to ensure that the nursery delivers the best possible practice.

Requirements
• A level 3 in a Child Care qualification
• Experience in working in a nursery previously
• Excellent knowledge of health, safety and hygiene
• Have an up to date DBS
• Great understanding of Child safeguarding and protection

What the role involves
• Helping to create a safe, fun and engaging environment for the children
• Keeping track of each child's individual progress throughout the day
• Helping children with mealtimes (snacks, food and drink)
• Organisation when logging any accidents or difficulties with as much detail as possible
• Assisting children with general life skills including, hygiene, manners and safety
• Creating solid relationships with parents, keeping track of each child's individual progress throughout the day
