Job description
Permanent, full time Nursery Manager required in Weston-Super-Mare

A successful nursery in Weston- Super-Mare located just off the sea front, is presenting an exciting opportunity for a Nursery manager who will be involved in the day to day running of this nursery.

If you think you are, or could be, an exceptional manager and would like to run a 0-5 years setting for children, then please get in touch asap!

As a nursery manager you will be responsible for:

* Delivering and maintaining excellent standards of care and education for all children in your care whilst enabling the children to reach their potential.

* Day to day running of the nursery, managing staffing levels and occupancy rates.

* Developing and maintaining positive relationships with the children and parents and other professionals involved with the children.

* Mentoring,guiding and developing your team to build a happy and effective team.

* Managing staff including recruitment and retention.

* Effectively manage the nursery budget and marketing of the nursery.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

* A minimum level 3 childcare qualification ( qualified min of 3 years) or higher qualification.

* Have experience in leading a team within a good or outstanding childcare setting (minimum 2 years)

* Excellent management, communication and leadership skills.

* Good written communication,literacy and numeracy skills.

* Good IT skills.

* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and implementation.

* Sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation and practice.

* Experience of staff training and development.

Successful applicants will also be required to have an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
