Job description
This successful private nursery in the borough of Barnet are seeking a full time and permanent nursery manager.

You will hold either: A level 4 qualification in an early years related subject. the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for the Children and Young People's Workforce - Early Years (Management) a foundation degree or HND in an early years related subject. a degree in early years, childcare, child development or related subject

You will be a natural leader, with exceptional people skills, leading from the front with an inspiring out look. Ideally with at least 2 years in a similar role.

Your role will include but not be limited:

To be responsible for and to oversee the day to day management, staffing,

organisation and smooth running of the Nursery.

To develop the ethos of the Nursery and to create a

welcoming and family friendly environment.

Managing the Nursery Team to ensure the delivery of the

aims and objectives of the establishment

To be responsible for leading practice to ensure high standards of care and

education of children between 0 to five years in accordance with statutory

requirements and to maintain a minimum good Ofsted grade

To ensure the EYFS is promoted and delivered within the setting to ensure

outcomes for children and families are improved

To ensure effective communication between the Day Care staff and with all

partner organisations to ensure the needs of children and families are met

appropriately

To be accountable and responsible for day to day financial systems directly

relating to the provision.

To be responsible for admissions in line with the admissions policy agreed by

the Management Team.

To be responsible for organising training and monitoring students and

volunteers in the nursery .

To be responsible for the safeguarding of young and vulnerable children, in

line with the Barnet Safeguarding Children’s Board guidance.

To work in partnership with parents and carers to support families

To be responsible for managing staff and operational performance targets

To be responsible for ensuring that Health and Safety legislation is complied

with in the nursery

To proactively lead practice through keeping up to date with research, policy

and professional development

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
