Job description
This successful nursery in the borough of Luton are seeking a full time and permanent nursery manager.

You will hold either: A level 4 qualification in an early years related subject. the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for the Children and Young People's Workforce - Early Years (Management) a foundation degree or HND in an early years related subject. a degree in early years, childcare, child development or related subject

You will be a natural leader, with exceptional people skills, leading from the front with an inspiring out look. Ideally with at least 2 years in a similar role.

Your role will include but not be limited:

-To be responsible for and to oversee the day to day management, staffing, organisation and smooth running of the Nursery.

-To develop the ethos of the Nursery and to create a welcoming and family friendly environment.

-Managing the Nursery Team to ensure the delivery of the aims and objectives of the establishment

-To be responsible for leading practice to ensure high standards of care and education of children between 0 to five years in accordance with statutory requirements and to maintain a minimum good Ofsted grade

-To ensure the EYFS is promoted and delivered within the setting to ensure outcomes for children and families are improved

-To ensure effective communication between the Day Care staff and with all partner organisations to ensure the needs of children and families are met

appropriately

-To be accountable and responsible for day to day financial systems directly relating to the provision.

-To be responsible for admissions in line with the admissions policy agreed by the Management Team.

-To be responsible for organising training and monitoring students and volunteers in the nursery .

-To be responsible for the safeguarding of young and vulnerable children, in line with the Barnet Safeguarding Children's Board guidance.

-To work in partnership with parents and carers to support families

-To be responsible for managing staff and operational performance targets

-To be responsible for ensuring that Health and Safety legislation is complied with in the nursery

-To proactively lead practice through keeping up to date with research, policy and professional development
