Job description
We are looking for a person with one of the below qualifications to work in a Rotherham based nursery in the S65 area.

• Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Caring for Children and Young People
• Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Childcare and Education
• Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development
• Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education
• Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Play work
• Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Play work (NVQ)
• Level 2 or 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (Early Learning and Childcare)

Role Responsibilities:
You will need to be able to plan and resource work for children in the nursery according to their needs and the nursery curriculum and assess the children against their personalised targets and milestones. Safeguarding is a priority and you must be able to ensure the safety of all children in your care according to current safeguarding guidelines. There will be requirements to for general housekeeping of the rooms, serving meals and some personal care responsibilities with the younger children (toileting and nappy changing).

Person Specification
We require an NVQ Level 2 or 3 or Equivalent in Childcare and Education and at least 2 months experience working in an Early Years setting. You will need knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum and a strong understanding of child development.
We request that you have a passion for working with the under-fives, excellent communication skills both written and verbal. the ability to use your own initiative and an understanding of all nursery duties.
