We are seeking an experienced Nursery Deputy Manager wishing to join our team. The job is based in Canada Water where you would be working in our beautiful and spacious nursery.

This would be an excellent opportunity for people with previous managerial experience in a nursery wishing to join a brand new setting. Or someone who has been a Room Leader looking to further their career.

The Nursery & Role: Situated on the banks of the River Thames, opposite Canary Wharf, in the midst of a rather beautiful nature reserve and in a jaw-droppingly beautiful building. This Nurser is opening in April 2021. We are currently looking for a Nursery Deputy. The purpose of the role will be to provide support to the staff team in maintaining highest standard of care whilst delivery our bilingual model. Principle responsibilities include: Child Welfare & Safeguarding - ensuring all children are safe, cared for an all aspects of their needs met as per our safeguarding and health and safety policies. Early years education - We want people who are excited by education, passionate about children and can prove that their knowledge is more than just the 7 areas of learning. Training & CPD - we provide you with access to some of the best online EYFS CPD level 2 training programmes and are a certified training provider under NCFE-CACHE to train and accredit you. Team Attitude - this is a team role, working with colleagues to ensure that the nursery delivers the best possible practice.

Main Duties

• Maintain and achieve high levels of care and education

• Ensure all policies, procedures and curriculums are always implemented and adhered to

• Effectively manage occupancy levels and budgets

• Manage operations day to day, including HR, marketing and health and safety

• Management of the nursery

• Offer a supportive and nurturing environment to all your team members including with a strong focus in leading and inspiring them to provide an excellent service to all the families using the nursery

• Driven to maintain a good or outstanding Ofsted report

• Successfully plan and manage the commercial success of the setting

To be successful . . .

• You will hold a full and relevant Level 3 and above (equivalent) Childcare qualification
• You will be able to show examples of strong leadership skills and motivational skills
• You will be reliable and responsible, putting the child's safety and wellbeing first
• You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a nursery setting
• You will have knowledge supervision strategies and how to support the team
• You will actively promote safeguarding and knowing what to do in various situations
• You will support your team members through all aspects of childcare
