Job description
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Music Technology Teacher has arisen at a Children's Secure Unit in Newton Aycliffe, Co.Durham with an ASAP start.

The service provides high quality, specialist secure accommodation for young people between the ages of 10 and 18 and houses some of the most vulnerable young people, many of whom have complex problems and need intensive support to help them turn their lives around.

Job Specification

Essential:

• Working knowledge of Digital Audio Workstations e.g. Ableton, Cubase, Logic
• Experience of studio recording and using microphones, multitrack recording
• Plan effectively and prepare effective learning sequences, lessons and work across a series of lessons to ensure coverage of the curriculum and the differentiated needs of learners are met.
• Assess, record and report on the development and progress of learners

Desirable:

• Experience of teaching Music Technology.
• Use of Ableton Live 9
• Ability to play a musical instrument (Drums, keyboard, guitar)
• Music theory and notation
• Have a working knowledge of DJ Skills (Traktor)
