Secondary Teacher MFL Teacher

We’re partnering with a forward-thinking secondary school in Telford that’s ready to welcome an enthusiastic MFL teacher to its team.

This is a school that sets high expectations while keeping inclusivity at its core. Pupils are encouraged to think for themselves, share ideas confidently, and grow both academically and personally. Respect, responsibility and resilience shape everyday life here, creating a calm and purposeful environment where learning genuinely thrives.

Languages are an important part of the school’s wider vision. Lessons go beyond textbooks and exams, helping pupils explore different cultures and understand how language connects them to the wider world. In this role, you’ll bring languages to life, spark those lightbulb moments, and help young people see themselves as confident communicators in a global society.

You’ll be joining a school where curiosity is welcomed, behaviour is strong, and teachers are trusted to teach creatively. From the moment you walk through the doors, there’s a real sense of community and shared purpose.

Values, safeguarding and curriculum

The school actively promotes the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs. These principles run through the curriculum, encouraging pupils to express their ideas through discussion, debate and thoughtful reflection.

Provision across RP, PSHCE and SMSC supports the school’s ethos. Pupils learn about major world faiths and, where possible, visit places of worship during KS3 and KS4. Online safety, extremism awareness and safeguarding are embedded through a structured life programme, ICT lessons, assemblies, tutor time and specialist teaching. As with all schools, staff play a key role in safeguarding and are expected to remain vigilant and follow procedures by raising concerns with designated safeguarding leads.

Got ideas for international projects, cultural clubs, or language exchanges? Even better, they’ll be warmly welcomed here.
