We’re working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Telford that’s ready to welcome a passionate MFL teacher to its team.
This is a school where expectations are high and inclusivity isn’t just a word on a wall. Pupils are encouraged to think for themselves, speak up, and develop not only academically but socially too. Respect, responsibility, and resilience shape everyday life here, creating a calm, purposeful atmosphere where learning genuinely thrives.
Languages are central to the school’s vision. Lessons aren’t confined to textbooks or exam specs. They’re about opening doors. Helping pupils connect with different cultures. Showing them why language matters in the real world.
This role is about bringing French, Spanish or your specialist language to life. Sparking those lightbulb moments. Giving pupils the confidence to see themselves as global citizens in an increasingly connected world.
You’ll be joining a community where curiosity is celebrated, behaviour is strong, and teachers are trusted to teach creatively. There’s a real sense of shared purpose from day one, with colleagues who collaborate and leadership that backs its staff.
The school actively promotes fundamental British values, democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs. Respect and diversity are woven through the curriculum, with pupils encouraged to express their views through discussion and debate.
Provision across RP, PSHCE and SMSC supports this ethos. Pupils explore major world faiths and, where possible, visit places of worship during KS3 and KS4. Online safety, extremism awareness and safeguarding are embedded through a structured life programme, ICT, assemblies, tutor time and specialist lessons.
Safeguarding is taken seriously. All staff are expected to remain vigilant and follow clear procedures, raising concerns promptly with designated safeguarding leads.
Curious, motivated pupils who enjoy learning
A collaborative MFL department that shares ideas and planning
Leadership that values creativity as much as outcomes
Clear opportunities for professional development and progression
A supportive, established school community
You’re an engaging MFL teacher, or an ECT ready to start your journey, who makes languages feel natural, relevant and enjoyable.
You bring culture into the classroom. You set high expectations. You create a space where pupils feel confident enough to have a go, make mistakes, and try again.
Got ideas for international links, exchanges, cultural clubs or themed events? Even better. They’ll be welcomed with open arms.
