We’re working with a small, welcoming primary school set in beautiful surroundings, where relationships are at the heart of everything.

It’s the kind of place where staff, families, and children all know each other, support each other, and celebrate the wins together, big and small. You’ll feel it the moment you walk through the door.

What you’ll be doing

This role is all about patience, encouragement, and building trust.

You’ll:

  • Support learning both 1:1 and in small group settings
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils
  • Encourage inclusion and positive interactions with peers
  • Adapt activities alongside the teacher to suit individual needs
  • Use praise and encouragement to build confidence and independence
  • Support the development of social skills in and out of the classroom
  • Share regular feedback with the teacher and SEND lead
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies to keep every child safe

What this school does well

This is a school where:

  • Children are nurtured to grow academically and personally
  • Staff work closely together and genuinely support one another
  • Inclusion isn’t a buzzword, it’s part of everyday practice
  • The wider community plays an important role in school life

There’s a real sense of belonging here, for pupils and staff alike.

What you’ll get

  • From £14.30 per hour, PAYE (no umbrella companies)
  • Free access to CPD, including ongoing SEND training
  • FREE Thrive training, helping you build skills in supporting emotional wellbeing
  • A supportive team who’ll help you grow in confidence
  • A role where your impact is seen and valued

What we’re looking for

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, or a strong interest in this area
  • A calm, caring, and patient approach
  • Someone who builds relationships easily and communicates well
  • A team player who’s open to learning and development
