Protocol Education are working with primary schools in West London, looking to recruit Mental Health Support Workers to work with children with special educational needs.

Our schools need candidates who are experienced working with primary and secondary aged children from varied backgrounds, children with social, emotional and mental health issues and with a range of additional learning needs. We are looking for candidates who have the mentoring experience and ability to build relationships with children to inspire and motivate them to learn.

Your role in a school would be to support individuals one a one to one basis, both in and outside of the classroom. These pupils will likely be learning at a lower level, have challenging behaviour, may have Autism, ADHD, Aspergers, moderate learning difficulties, complex needs and sometimes physical disabilities.

Suitable candidates will have;
- Previous experience with children, and as a Mental Health Support Worker
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to establish good relationships with young people
- Patience, tolerance and flexibility
- A sense of adventure and creative mind
