Mental Health & Wellbeing Support Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support young people’s wellbeing and mental health. We are looking for a dynamic and resilient individual who is capable of supporting young people and their families at times of challenge to improve their wellbeing and overcome barriers to success.


The successful candidate will :


 Hold mental health and wellbeing training and experience=. Applications from the fields of health, education, social care or the mental health charity sector are welcome.

The role:


 To deliver support sessions with young people who are experiencing complex mental health difficulties 1 - 1 or in a group-based interventions.

 Hold an effective working relationship with Social, Emotional and Mental Health colleagues and the wider Behaviour and Inclusion team.

 Support the promotion of positive mental health in the whole school context & maintain reflective notes on sessions delivered .

 Meet with families at times of challenge this may include family support sessions or home visits, liaise with external agencies & support families to gain help/guidance from charities and external organisations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
