I am currently working with a satellite provision in Islington. If you enjoy working in a more personal and intimate environment, this role would be ideal for you.
Working with a specific selection of young people with ASC. This role offers a small classroom operating from mainstream schools and external spaces in and around the borough. The students accessing the satellite service have ASC and additional behavioural and mental health difficulties. If you are naturally influential in working with young people facing challenges, have good de-escalation and behaviour management and are patient with experience of working with special needs, particularly in working with behaviours that challenge then this role is ideal.
The satellite classrooms are part of a big group of schools, an opportunity to be part of a forward thinking and innovative team, who offer good support and development. It will be a challenge and you do need to be resilient and persistent and be able to face challenges head on and be confident and pro-active.
