Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join an educational establishment in Redcar on a temporary, full-time basis. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality mathematics education, fostering a positive learning environment that supports the academic progress and personal development of pupils.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons in accordance with the national curriculum and school policies.
• Assess and monitor pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records of attainment and behaviour.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupil participation and enthusiasm for mathematics.
• Implement appropriate differentiation strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of pupils.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupil development and address any concerns.
• Participate in departmental and staff meetings, contributing to curriculum development and school initiatives.
• Maintain professional standards in line with school policies and safeguarding requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.

Education and Experience

• Proven experience teaching mathematics at secondary school level.
• Familiarity with the national curriculum and examination requirements.
• Experience in planning lessons and assessing pupil progress effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
