A forward-thinking primary school in Gateshead is seeking a Maths graduate to lead targeted Year 6 intervention sessions ahead of SATs.

This is a full-time, term-time role, 8.30am to 3.30pm.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Delivering small group SATs booster sessions

  • Supporting pupils with reasoning and problem-solving

  • Tracking pupil progress alongside the class teacher

  • Supporting whole-class lessons where required

  • Building confidence in pupils who need extra support

This is an ideal stepping stone into primary teaching or teacher training.

We’re looking for

  • A Maths or related degree

  • Clear communication skills

  • Confidence explaining mathematical concepts

  • Interest in pursuing a PGCE or school-based training
