Secondary Teacher MFL Teacher

We’re working with a fantastic secondary school in Bristol that’s looking for a Maths Teacher (must have valid QTS) who can make the subject feel accessible, engaging, and genuinely rewarding for students.

This is a full-time role with the opportunity to go permanent after 20 weeks, making it a brilliant option for someone looking for stability, support, and room to grow within a strong department.

What’s the role all about?

You’ll be teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons that challenge students, build confidence, and show them that maths is more than just formulas on a whiteboard.

The department is well-established, supportive, and big on collaboration. Planning and resources are shared, ideas are welcomed, and there’s a real focus on helping teachers thrive, not just survive the term.

You’ll also take on Form Tutor responsibilities, supporting students pastorally and becoming a key part of school life beyond the classroom.

This school understands how important Maths is for students’ futures, and they’re looking for someone who can help pupils feel capable, confident, and successful in the subject.

What’s the school like?

Supportive, ambitious, and genuinely welcoming.

You’ll be joining a school that:

  • Has a strong SLT that values staff wellbeing and development
  • Invests heavily in CPD and career progression
  • Encourages collaboration and sharing best practice
  • Maintains clear behaviour systems and high expectations
  • Celebrates both academic achievement and personal growth

Staff are supported properly here. There’s a real team mentality, strong communication across departments, and a culture where people are recognised for the work they do.

What we’re looking for

  • QTS and experience teaching Maths at KS3 & KS4
  • A teacher who can engage and motivate learners of all abilities
  • Someone confident building positive classroom relationships
  • A team player who enjoys sharing ideas and learning from others
  • A teacher who wants to keep developing their practice
