Job description
We are working with a school in Sidcup who are looking for a Design Technology specialist who has a focus on resistant materials for a maternity cover post beginning February, possibly mid January. This position will run until July 18 and is full time.

The schools most recent Ofsted (January 2015) inspection, the school was judged as Good' and Inspectors commented on an atmosphere of mutual respect and tolerance' which they are very proud of and continue to nurture and encourage.

The post involves covering 13 hours of Art but most of the time will be working with resistant materials classes.

To be successful for the post you will need to:

•Be up to date with the new curriculum
•Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) with a PGCE, GTP, Bachelor of Education (BAEd.), QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
•Be passionate about teaching and education
•Have a creative approach to teaching
•Be qualified in resistant materials DT
•Have good behaviour managements skills
•Excellent communication and lesson delivery skills
•A good work ethic.
