Manual Handling/Hoist Trained Support Worker

Hours: 8.30am 3.45pm

A leading special needs school in the London borough of Ealing has recently increased its student population and has plans to increase further. To cope with the increasing numbers and high demand of required support at the school experienced and dedicated teaching assistants are needed.

The ideal candidate the school are looking for

•Experience in manual handling and hoisting
•Good sense of humour
•Ability to create and maintain relationships
•Excellent understanding of special education needs, in particular PMLD (profound and multiple learning difficulties).
•Team Teach trained
•Makaton and PEC's experience

The school is situated in a quiet rural part of Ealing that is also easily accessible on the over ground line.

The school have an impressive staffing structure that offers opportunities to succeed and achieve further qualifications. You can become a specialist in special needs education through an apprenticeship scheme run by a local college or become a teacher in special needs which the school will also provide the training for.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
