Job description
FULL TIME ROLE AVAILABLE - Mon - Fri Term Time Only
08.30 - 16.00

I am currently recruiting for a school in Lewisham who are in need of teaching assistants who are confident and competent using Makaton. The school have been rated "OUTSTANDING" by OFSTED and cater for children between the ages of 11 - 19 years old that have a range of Special Educational Needs such as Autism, ADHD and Complex Needs.

The school itself has a very inclusive and supportive ethos in both their teaching approach and their management style. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain a careeer working within specialist education.

Successful candidates
• Have Makaton training or experience using Makaton
• Experience of working with SEN children in an education setting
• Additional training such as Team Teach/ Autism Awareness/ MAPA
• Previously worked with SEN Children or Adults in a care setting
• Strong behaviour management and confident with personal care.
• Knowledge of the current curriculum
