Makaton SEN Teaching Assistant

Full-Time | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Long-Term

Do you use Makaton and want to support students with complex communication needs?

We’re working with a specialist SEN school supporting students aged 11–19 with autism and speech & language needs.

Your role:

• Supporting communication using Makaton signs and symbols
• Working closely with students 1:1 and in small groups
• Supporting classroom engagement and routines

What we need:

• Makaton experience (formal or informal)
• A patient and understanding approach
• Interest in SEN

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
