Protocol Education are looking for SEN LSA's who would work effectively in challenging classrooms with pupils who need 1:1 support during the lockdown. The role would be full time working 08:30 - 16:00 and supporting teachers in classrooms. The classes are no bigger than 8 pupils per class.

The role will involve challenges such as having to restrain pupils and be prepared to use de-escalation to talk to pupils who are displaying disruptive behaviour.

Although the role may look daunting it also comes with great rewards, working in a well established unit and helping support children who need to keep engaged. You will be supported by a great team of people who will be there to assist in any questions you have, they also come with a lot of their own experience working in SEN settings and will be able to help you settle in.

The pupils are kept to a structure to limit the disruptions happening and it works really well, the attainment within the units is kept at a high standard and the school is monitored on the development of the pupils learning.

You must be:
Strong team player with relevant experience of working in a childcare/support working setting.
Warm, friendly, proactive approach to work.
Flexible in a challenging setting.
Passionate about working in SEN and confidence in providing students to work at their full potential.
Be able to provide a valid DBS or on the update system.
