Job description
A well established SEN school based in Hammersmith & Fulham are looking to recruit new support staff ASAP. Previous experience working with children with varying special educational needs within schools or a specialist SEN environment is preferable but not essential.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Taking instruction from the teacher
• Working on a 1:1 bases with a child who has ASD
• Assisting with learning and social skills
• Previous experience in personal care is not essential as on the job training can be given to the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience and knowledge of SEN
• Experience in personal care
• Patience, empathy, resilience and confidence
• Capable of following instructions as well as the ability to use own initiative

Team Teach will be offered to all candidates within a 12 week period of working with us continuously.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
