Job description
A secondary school in Lewisham are looking for a special needs Learning Support Assistant with experience working with autism to join their team. The full-time SEN Learning Support Assistant is required immediately. The successful SEN LSA will be supporting children across the year groups with ASD.

• Immediate start.

• Long Term supply. Could be a contract if successful

• Daily pay rate £60 - £75per day as a SEN TA

As an ASD specialist, you will support and facilitate pupil's academic, social and personal development. This will include working with pupils on a small group and individual basis, as well as supporting the class teacher.

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience of working with children with SEN.

• Preferably experience of working with children with communication difficulties/ASD.

• Good interpersonal skills.

• The ability to work closely within a team.

• A positive attitude, and a can-do approach.

• A flexible and creative approach to working.

You will have previous experience of working children and young people with Autism. It is paramount that you can demonstrate a good understanding of ASD.

Experience of working with children with complex learning needs such as EBD, SEBD, ADHD or Asperger's will also be advantageous. If you have a Team-Teach training that would also be desirable.
