A thriving special needs school in Southend is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join their team as soon as possible. The school supports children with a range of Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and complex needs, providing an inclusive environment where every child is valued and supported to achieve their full potential.
The Role:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30
- Supporting students with MLD and complex needs in small groups or 1:1, helping to develop communication, confidence and independence.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistency and progress.
- Building positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and learning.
- Developing your skills and experience within a supportive, specialist environment.
Who We’re Looking For:
No prior school experience is required — if you have worked as a support worker, healthcare assistant, youth worker, or have personal experience supporting SEN or complex needs, we’d love to hear from you!
This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for anyone looking to start or grow a rewarding career in education across Southend and the surrounding South Essex area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
