Job description
Are you looking to expand your skills as an LSA? Protocol Education are looking for a learning support assistant to work with children within a mainstream school who have additional needs. This role is ideal for candidates who have previous experience working with children who have special needs and want to advance in their education career. It also provides the opportunity, for those with less practice, to gain experience in a classroom working with children who have additional needs.

Classroom support staff will be working with the children in a classroom environment to support the teacher and pupils. The position will be during school hours and will consist of both 1:1 and group support sessions. This is a long term/permanent role with 34 hours per week. It will be term time only. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, have exceptional communication skills and have a positive and helpful attitude. Candidates will preferably have experience working with SEND, challenging behaviour or training/qualifications. We are ideally looking for a qualified level 2 teaching assistant/ or level 2 in teaching and learning. The school will consider candidates that are not qualified but experience will be crucial.
