Job description
Are you an LSA with experience catering for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Or, do you have a passion to start working with SEND pupils?

Protocol Education currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious LSA to work in a fantastic SEND school in Barking and Dagenham. This school caters very successfully for pupils with PMLD and ASD. Therefore, a willingness to undertake personal care, as well as being proactive in the classroom, is essential!

Class sizes in this school are small, with no more than 8 pupils in a class, and excellent support is in place both within the classroom and throughout the school. The school operates across two sites, a primary and secondary site, so flexibility and willingness to work across the age ranges is essential.

Ideally, you will:

• Be able to commit to a full-time role (5 days per week)
• Have a current DBS, or be willing to acquire one through Protocol

• Have previous experience working with children with different educational needs, namely PMLD needs
• Confidence differentiating lessons for pupils with a range of different academic abilities
• Good interpersonal and communicational skills
• Familiarity with instructional approaches required to facilitate complete access to the curriculum for
pupils with ASD and other complex needs

In return, Protocol Education offers its candidates:

• Outstanding rates of pay
• Professional support from our team of experienced consultants
• Continued support through all placements
• Free CPD courses
• Team teacher training provided within the first 12 weeks of registering with Protocol

If this role is of interest to you, or you are just generally seeking new opportunities within a SEND setting, please feel free to contact Aiden Kelly at Protocol Education on 0208 971 1284 for further information.
