Learning Support Assistant – 1:1 SEN Support
Location: Colchester | Full-time/Part-time available

Are you passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives? We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN in a mainstream primary school setting.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting a child’s learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing on a 1:1 basis

  • Working closely with class teachers to implement personalised strategies

  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement in all areas of learning

  • Supporting the wider school team with classroom activities and routines

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in a school environment

  • Empathetic, patient, and understanding, with a genuine interest in children’s development

  • A proactive team player who uses initiative and adapts to the needs of the classroom

  • Confident in providing 1:1 support while fostering independence and positive behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
